The original photograph was taken in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The lotus flower is regarded in many different Buddhist cultures such as the Vietnamese culture, as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the lotus produces the most beautiful flower.
The print is made on Canson/Hahnemuhle fine art baryta paper that the artist carefully selects for this very photograph. It is a premium quality fine art paper which delivers the most accurate and vibrant colors in print as you see onscreen.
