Sleeping in an XVI century palace restored by the same hands as the Sistine Chapel

The Palazzo Raveggi is 500 years old. After a great reform job carried out by the same team as the Sistine Chapel respecting the original design of the space, this palace hosts now Casa Iris. Casa Iris is a five-star hotel located in the Italian Tuscany.

James Valeri and Matthew Adams left New York West Village searching for a classic beauty. Searching for this eternity around the world, they were lucky to find the Pallazo Raveggi. Both owners elected carefully the building in order to find a great location to construct Casa Iris. In addition to the building, they were looking also for the best parade. Spain wereas Italy were both good options for them. But they finaly bet on Grosseto, a small town in the Italian Tuscany.

The architect Giorgia Cerrulli carried out the design of this project respecting every original details. Windows and antique ceilings, walls and floors hidden by many bad taste reforms. The same art restorer in charge of the restoration of the Sistine Chapel that usually works for the Vatican; Maria Rosaria Baliseo collaborated in this project.
